STARTING POINT OPATIJA

DAY 1: OPATIJA – TRIESTE – OPATIJA

Your tour begins in Opatija. Check in the hotel and sightseeing, after which you will go to Trieste. Trieste is a town and harbour with the long commercial tradition which has always been an important transitory meeting place. The melting pot of different cultures, nations and religions. You are going to see the old St. Giusto church next to the medieval castle with a beautiful panoramic view, as well as the romantic Miramar castle situated on steep rocks next to the sea. Return to Opatija.


DAY 2: POSTOJNA - LJUBLJANA
Enjoy the marvellous underworld of Postojna cave which was created for millions of years. The kingdom of stalactites and stalagmites. The place where you can see a human fish, a very interesting cave animal which lives in complete darkness.
After Postojna you will go to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. You will visit the old city on the hill where you can enjoy panoramic view at the whole city. There is a ropeway connecting the hill with the new city centre. In Ljubljana you will see a lot of monuments such as Prešern's sculpture, franciscan church, Robb's fountain etc.

DAY 3: BLED – BOHINJ – ZAGREB
Drive to the beautiful Julian Alpes, pay a visit to Bled and use the free time for a boat ride on the lake or the nearby castle. A visit to Vintgar and a walk through the amazing nature in passage by the river Soča is also possible. Continue the excursion to Bohinj lake where you can, if you want so, take the cable car to Vogel and have a beautiful view bellow.
Departure towards Croatia's capital city – Zagreb. You will see Ban Jelačić Square, the green Zagreb's horseshoe (Lenuzzijeva potkova) created in the second half od 19th century. It is also the biggest urbanistic project that has determined further development of Zagreb. It is consisted of all the bigger and main squares and a botanical garden.

DAY 4: ZAGREB – PLITVICE

From Zagreb you will arrive on Plitvice lakes, one of the most famous national parks in Croatia. There you will find 16 turquoise lakes with crystal clear water, and over a hundred waterfalls. This national park is a part of UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list.


DAY 5: PLITVICE – OPATIJA
After visit to Plitvice, you will go to Opatija – end of the tour.
